Are screen protectors bad for my MacBook?
I just bought a screen protector for my MacBook. It’s the kind that doesn’t use adhesive, but more like this hard plastic that just sticks to plastic/glass surfaces by itself.
I wanted to install it but my brother said it would be harmful for the screen since the glass’ protective coating/film would be taken out if I ever decide to remove the screen protector later on. Is this true?
I wish I could be more help then this.
Normally screen protectors are not very important, unless you need it to stop people from reading over your shoulders.
I have used these screen protectors on my very expensive Samsung phone and have found them to cause no damage, but I stopped using them since they really dont make any sense and im talking about a cell phone here! in my pocket and all..
all in all I dont think its worth it, why dont you stick to the clean and crisp display that apple has put in there instead, dont block it with a thick piece of plastic.
