Best case for the Nikon P80?
We bought my ‘early’ Christmas present the other day. I got a new camera. The sales guy had a case at the register, and told me it was the best one they had for the price…for this particular camera. Anyhow; after getting home…and trying to put my new camera in the ‘new’ case; I realized nothing fits. The camera fits great in the slot for the camera, but none of the cords fit in the case. This particular camera has a rechargeable battery, and I’d think I’d want to be able to fit the battery charger in the case…right? Along with the other cords so that they don’t get misplaced, etc.
Is it odd for me to want a camera case to hold…everything?
Its not odd at all for a bag to hold everything.
I have three bags.
One is a backpack
One is a shoulder bag
The third is an event bag that carries two dslr cameras, flashes, chargers, lenses, etc.

Do I need to buy the optional weight kit along with the housing to take my digital camera scuba diving?
Will I have bouyancy issues with my camera if I just skip the weights and get an underwater casing alone? I have a Canon PowerShot A630 camera I’d like to take diving.
It really depends on how you like your housing. Remember, the housing will display a certain volume of water. So, the deeper you go, the more positively bouyant it will be. If you add no weight, then the housing will really be hard to handle at depth.
My guess is you want to set the housing up to be neutrally bouyant. Of course, sometimes it is nice to have it negatively bouyant, so you can set it down during a dive. Then again, you may want it to be positively bouyant (a bit) so it will head for the surface if you lose it. In most cases, you just want it to be neutrally bouyant, so you just have to worry about its inertia and not worry about having to fight it.
