If the screen on my laptop is really dim when I boot it up, do I need a LCD screen backlight thing or Battery?
When I boot it up, I can still see the screen (barely) so I know the hard drive isn’t fried.
I’ve already tried using the Fn keys and they don’t work
Basically, the way to tell if the backlight has failed is to take it into a dark room.
If the screen does not emit ANY light, then the backlight has failed.
